Problem: When the quota for media storage is full, all sort of bad things happen.
Attachments from customers are just silently removed (no trace of there even being an attachment). This causes a LOT of confusion.
Can't upload new images to pop ups, emails etc
The only notification received that the media storage is full is to the app owner, in the small notification ring bell icon (where ALL notifications end up, so very easy to miss).
In the media section (/files), you can't sort on size to remove the biggest ones.
In the media section, you can't see where the media belongs. Is it from a customer email? Is it from a Campaign? An automation? This makes it impossible to bulk remove media files with confidence without being afraid to f*ck shit up in your automations.
Solution?
Start with emailing ALL Administrators when quota is 90% full
Add possibility to sort by file size to /files
Add a filter to remove all media that are associated with your own automations, emails, campaigns, whatever. For instance, I only want to remove old screenshots that our customers have sent us that are more than x months old.
